Luke 14 County Fair

Every year Manley Baptist hosts a special event called the Luke 14th Banquet for individuals with disabilities in our area. This is an amazing event for very special people in our community. Some facilities/individuals drive for hours to make it to this special evening. Manley provides a yummy meal, petting zoo, face painting, lives music, dancing, dunking booth, and other fun county fair activities. It was so rewarding to be a part of this event.! Essie and Polly had a blast!!!

My only regret is that I didn't get a picture of my special buddy Robin who resides at the Crumley House in Limestone TN. She was a lovely lady who suffered a horrible brain injury 30 plus years ago when she was 21. She was in a coma for 5 months and unfortunately her husband died in the accident. She has had a difficult life for such a long time but keeps smiling. We have enjoyed talking on the phone several times since the banquet.

Luke 14:13-14 But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."
