March 2009 POLLYISMS

Pollyisms

1)When getting a piggy back ride from dadda, I commented "my arms are out of breathe" from holding on so tight.
2)"When Mommy commented how bad baby Jameson's dirty diaper smelled, Polly remarked "I can't smell anything I have too many boogers on the wall of my nose".
3) When realizing the wonderful attributes of parachutes, I commented "parachutes are
brillant".
4) When meeting a new friend named Casey, I noted that "I feel like I've known her my whole life".
5) Talking to my mother who was not complying to my wishes I state "we are going to have big issues with consequences" if you don't listen.
My favorite food this month is Mac-n-Cheese
My favorite animals: alligators, cats, and bunny rabbits
My favorite color: still purple
My favorite TV show: Toot-n-Puddle
My favorite thing to do: pretend play with Jaxson

March 2009 Essieism's

This month I was on the move visiting many places (albeit many of these got me into big trouble). No sitting still for me. I am part Monkey (even though my mother does not believe in evolution of man from monkey's she calls me "monkey" all day long).

Oh, The Places I GO
( Disclaimer: No toddlers were harmed in the making of these photos). These are actual photos depicting my daily adventures. On this particular day, I went to all these places in about 1 1/2 hours. Not bad for an 18 month old!

On top of my table. What you don't see here is the few times when no one catches me and I climb all the way onto the counter and then play with the stove on/off buttons. I love those red lights that tell when you when your butt it getting ready to get a little warm.

On top of the kitchen table. I was really curious about what was in the laundry basket.

On top and over the back of the recliner. My mom had to put the camera down to make sure I didn't jump over like I did yesterday. By the way, thanks Mom for catching me just in the nick of time yesterday-I about bit the bullet and fell on my head to what would have been certain prolonged suffering.

Down to the basement. Somebody left the door just cracked enough for me to pry my little fingers through. To bad my mom has a second sense for when I am about to get into trouble. I would imagine I would of had a lot of fun down there. Don't ya think?

I want to start blogging too!

I need to refresh my makeup. This is a new one. I had never tried climbing up here till today! I am soooooooooooo adventurous.

Dang- Mommie is making me get down again. No fun for me!!!

As you can see, I have had a very busy month. I am saying all kinds of new words like "guys", "blue", "pink", "Nuh-uh" and love making animal sounds. I change my shoes at least 4 times a day depending on what mood I'm in. I am scared to death of people dressed up in costumes. Didn't much care for Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse at Disney. I am really scared that this Easter bunny dude I keep hearing about is going to try and get me. Tune into next month's blog about my latest-greatest adventures! Oh yeah, my momma and dadda say to please put me on your prayer list for God's Daily Protection & Shielding.

Highlights from Kentucky's Basketball Season

Well it's finally over! Too bad Kentucky had a horrible season. This is my favorite memory from the past basketball sesason. GO CATS!!!!!!!!!

All Saints School Grandparents Day

On Friday, March 20th, Polly's preschool had a special day for grandparents featuring "American Patriotic" music. Ms. Mary and Ms. Ruth filled in since Polly's grandparents couldn't attend the event.

Caution: Gluttony Recall Warning

Okay- Every now and then there is something that just gets me. Something that secretly calls me from the pantry "eat me- just one more". Today, I had this unfortunate experience. I just wanted to warn all of you out there that these are very dangerous. Polly and I ate the entire box in about 6 minutes! They are so dang delicious! Don't buy them as I fear you too will fall into the sinful pit of gluttony.

Meet the newest members of the Jett Family

Meet "Specks" and "Swim Frog" Ribbit-Ribbit
These are Polly's new pet frogs and her first pets!!! We also have dogs (Graddy & Izzy) but they were around long before Ms. Polly arrived.
Polly was sooooo excited to get these little fellers. She jumped up and down, clapped her hands, and was holding herself like she needed to pee! Did I mention she was a little excited?
I had a big moment of weakness and bought these little suckers. I have been against anymore pets at our house unless we could trade our existing ones in for a new nonshedding-barking-hardwood floor scratching one but for some reason I caved in. Oh well- Only have to feed these once a week and change their water ever 4-6 months!!!!

" Specks" is on the left and "Swim Frog" is on the right in case you were wondering.
The proud new pet owner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now to the BEACH!!!!

After leaving Disney, We hung out in Ft. Lauderdale for a few days while Paul was at a Conference! This was the first beach vacation that Polly has really enjoyed playing on the beach and the sand. She played for hours by herself!!! Essie loved the beach too! She ran as fast as her little feet would carry her down the beach. We were constantly running after her.

Sand Angels

One of the few times, Ms. Essie stood still long enough for me to get her picture!

PollyEsther Hits Disney World!!!!

WE SURVIVED POLLYESTHER'S 1ST TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD!
I firmly stand by my initial feelings that NO children under the age of 6 should
be allowed in Disney World!!!
Having said that, We DID have a good time. Polly had a blast getting her Princess makeover and eating dinner at the castle. Essie could not have had more fun running away from us at all the parks and the hotel if she tried. Paul really enjoyed driving through the Safari at Animal Kingdom and I thought the NEMO musical was really cool! I can't wait till we go again in 4 1/2 years when Essie is 6!

Dragon Lady!! oooh Don't be scared I only spit out boogers

Polly's much treasured Pluto tattoo

Essie's beloved Goofy tattoo.

The view outside our room!

Polly was the featured Princess at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for her Cinderella makeover.

She was paraded through the store like a true princess waving to her subjects. She then had her makeover in the front window of the store! Let me tell you she thought she was hot stuff !

The finished product- Princess Polly aka Cinderella

Dadda-Her Prince Charming!

If you are wondering where Essie was during all this glamour-she had her own- in the princess shoe section trying on all the shoes she could find.
