UNGLUED WEEK 2

UNGLUED  Week 2

What a blessing you sweet gals are!  I am enjoying learning from you guys and love all the insightful comments you have!  This week we will be reading Chapters 3 & 4 of the Unglued book and doing homework from the participants guide from pages 51-72.

* NOTE IF YOU MISS A WEEK YOU CAN COME 30 MINUTES EARLY (AT NOON) AND WATCH THE PREVIOUS WEEK'S VIDEO!  Remember to check out www.melissataylor.org to look at the unglued online study.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE WEEKS OF STUDY.  CHAPTER 4 IS THE MEAT AND POTATOES OF THIS BOOK.  YOU WILL LEARN TO IDENTIFY WHAT KIND OF REACTOR(S) YOU ARE (You will probably not just be one type).   IF YOU WANT TO CHEAT A LITTLE, GO TO WWW.UNGLUEDBOOK.COM AND CLICK ON "ASSESSMENT".  THIS WILL HELP YOU LEARN WHAT KIND OF REACTOR YOU ARE!

THOUGHTS OF THE WEEK-  LET GOD CHISEL!  These 3 activities will greatly help your chiseling process!
(1) What people/circumstances do you tend to come unglued with the most?  Notice the patterns of  timing, mood, environment, and situations that these unglued moments tend to happen the most.  Try to formulate a plan to change these circumstances to reduce your unglued moments (pg. 34).
(2) If you haven't already, write goals for yourself (i.e., pg. 24) on what you'd like your new normal to be and how often you want this to occur or not occur.
(3) Remember to tract and analyze your unglued moments (pg.'s 70-72)

QUOTES OF THE WEEK FROM LYSA-
-"Oh God, chisel me.  I don't want to be locked in my hard places forever.  -"Soul integrity is honesty that's godly.  It brings the passion of the exploder and the peacemaking of the stuffer under the authority of Jesus.  -"Conviction unlocks the greatest potential for change".

HOMEWORK: Read Chapters 3 & 4 and participant's guide pg.'s 51-72.
MEMORY VERSES FOR EACH CHAPTER: (Pins available via my pinterest page on "unglued board": Jeannie Jett

Chapter 3: "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" (Ephesians 2:1-10).

Chapter 4: "Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom" (James 3:13).

I am praying especially hard for each of you this week to have wisdom regarding your unglued moments and a healthy conviction to unlock change that will begin the chiseling process.  Have a blessed week!  I'll see you Friday.  Again,  Please let me know if you are unable to attend and if you are planning on bringing children so I can better plan food and childcare!
