Last week's session was awesome! We had a great conversation about making sure you take a spiritual gifts inventory and repeating this test every couple of years. If you have never taken a spiritual gifts inventory, see me and I can get you a copy or ask your church (they can also be found online). Knowing what your spiritual gifts are will allow you to fulfill your God-given purposes in a tremendous way. It also helps you set priorities, tackle labels, decrease your insecurities, and reduce your overall unglued moments!
Thanks for all your patience with my technical glitches on Friday. Glad you finally got to see Sweet Abilene and Mae Mobley! Remember:
You is Kind- Jesus made you a Kind-hearted person. Ready to inspire and encourage others.
You is Smart- Jesus made you smart enough to know that you need Him desperately and fully.
You is Important-Jesus has assigned all of us the important job of representing Him to this world, which means we RE-PRESENT him everywhere we go!
I love the term "RE-PRESENT" vs. REPRESENT. Remember we are the light of the world- a city on a hill. The question of the day is "Do you/we RE-PRESENT Jesus when in the midst of conflicts and difficult situations"?
BIBLE STUDY WEEK 3- November 2nd
SONG OF THE WEEK- Kari Jobe "We Are" via youtube
THOUGHTS OF THE WEEK-
(1) Are you choosing the "GOOD" response over the "EASY" response? Our goal is imperfect progress with choosing the GOOD responses even though it can be painfully hard at times. Remember to ask yourself if: (1) you are unfair in your dealings with people? (2) If you show mercy to those who wrong you? and (3) Are you learning and moving towards humility?
QUOTES OF THE WEEK FROM LYSA-
-"Remember Feelings are indicators NOT dictators"
-"Remember, holy restraint is the seed that produces self-control"
-"Am I trying to prove or improve"?
